Local Storage

TipMath uses browser storage for:

• Dark/light mode preferences
• Currency selection
• Calculation history (IndexedDB)
• You can clear this data anytime using your browser settings or the 'Clear history' feature

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand site usage:

• Ahrefs collects basic pageviews and navigation patterns
• No personally identifiable information is tracked
• Privacy-respectful by design

Third-Party Services

Receipt Feature (BETA)

When you upload a receipt photo:

• Image is sent to Vercel AI Gateway for processing
• Only bill amount is extracted - no other data stored
• Images are not stored permanently
• This feature is optional - only used when you upload a photo
• Requires internet connection

Cookies

TipMath does not use tracking cookies. The only cookies may be:

• Essential session cookies for site functionality
• Ahrefs analytics cookies (privacy-respectful analytics)

Sharing Results

When you use the 'Share Results' feature:

• Calculation data is encoded in the URL
• No data is stored on our servers
• Only people with the link can see the calculation
• Shared links do not expire

Security

We protect your information:

• HTTPS for all connections
• No sensitive data stored on servers
• Local-first data approach
• Regular security audits

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Export your calculation history anytime
• Delete your history anytime
• Clear browser storage to remove all preferences
• Stop using the site anytime - no account to close

Children's Privacy

TipMath does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we've collected data from a child, contact us immediately.
