Questions people ask
Which countries don't tip?
Japan, mainland China and South Korea generally don't tip, and in much of Europe tipping is small and optional because service is included. The US and Canada are the big exceptions, with 15–20% expected.
Should I tip in local currency?
Yes, where possible. Staff lose money exchanging foreign coins and small notes.
