Calculation Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate calculations:
- Results are for informational reference only
- Always verify calculations before paying
- Rounding may affect small differences in totals
- Receipt OCR feature is in BETA and may make mistakes
- We are not responsible for incorrect calculations or misinterpretations
Receipt Upload Feature
The receipt feature is marked as BETA:
- May not accurately recognize all receipt formats
- Always verify extracted amounts before using
- Uploaded images are processed through Vercel AI Gateway
- We do not store receipt images permanently
- Use this feature at your own risk
Your Content
Regarding data you create (calculations, history):
- You retain all rights to your data
- Data is stored locally in your browser
- We claim no ownership of your calculations
- You are responsible for backing up your data if it's important to you
- Clearing browser data will delete your history
Restrictions
You must not:
- Use TipMath for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
- Attempt to access unauthorized systems or data
- Use the service to spam or distribute malware
- Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the service
Third-Party Services
TipMath uses these third-party services:
- Vercel AI Gateway (for receipt processing)
- Ahrefs Web Analytics (for site analytics)
- Google Fonts (for typography)
- Vercel (for hosting)
- Each service has its own terms of service and privacy policies
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability will not exceed $0 (the service is free)
- We are not responsible for loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption
- Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability, so these limitations may not apply to you
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TipMath and its operators from any claims arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
Governing Law
